Trainee Solicitor

Training Contract.

We are excited to be in the process of obtaining an insurance contact and due to expansion, we have a number of roles available including 4 TRAINING CONTRACTS - Subject to completion of 6 month probation period.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit four highly motivated and academically strong paralegals to join our firm. A two-year training contract will be offered to each candidate, subject to completion of an initial six month probation period. This is a unique opportunity to receive training to become a solicitor from two highly experienced solicitors.

The positions include a competitive salary of up to £25,000 for a 35-hour week, with 25 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays). We also allow each employee their birthday off in addition to the annual leave.

The firm also offers a flexible working policy, with more details to be provided at interview. The opportunity/role will suit a graduate with a law degree or equivalent who has completed the LPC.

The candidates must have at least 2 years' experience working as a paralegal dealing with personal injury claims. You must be highly motivated and self-sufficient. The candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be articulate and have good attention to detail. Experience of Proclaim case management system is also desirable, but not essential.

We specialise in Personal Injury, Serious Injury Claims, Professional Negligence, Medical Negligence and Dispute Resolution related disputes. The directors have conducted claims at the highest level.

Duties will initially involve opening new files, making initial calls, vetting new claims, ensuring that all information provided is correctly and efficiently entered onto the case management system, advising clients and general administration tasks. The role will also involve dealing with the RTA and EL portal cases, therefore a good grasp of the protocol is required. Trainees will also assist on a wide spectrum of case types, including multi track cases and the other case types mentioned above.

The candidate must have a good understanding of the general legal principles associated with negligence, although, full training will be provided, and the role represents a good opportunity to learn and progress in many areas of law.
